The Purpose Of The Coalition

We want the very best for children and young people in England.

We believe that the curriculum to which young people are entitled should compare favourably with the very best available elsewhere.

We feel that the current remit for the curriculum review in England is flawed. It is based on selective use of evidence and does not reflect best international practice in curriculum design.

As a coalition, however, we would wish to support the review by offering a set of principles and evidence to the review team. Only through applying these principles, and using this evidence, can we guarantee the very best for the well-being of young people, our economy and society.
